Scientific interests
My research is focused on the evolutionary, biogeographic and ecological origins of the deep-sea fauna. More specifically, the taxonomy, phylogeny and biogeography of deep-sea isopods have my primary attention. Moreover, I am interested in the distribution of habitat types and potential barriers for the deep sea benthos, targeting the effect of habitat heterogeneity on connectivity and evolution.
