Admission and opening hours
The museum is open - except on holidays - on Wednesdays from 10:00 - 18:00 and on Sundays from 10:00-17:00. Admission is free.

Accessibility
The main entrance of the museum can only be accessed via two steps. A side entrance allows barrier-free access, please contact the museum guard! A staircase leads to the gallery of the display collection, unfortunately there is no elevator in the museum. During the opening hours on Wednesday it is possible to reach the second floor of the museum via an elevator of the annex building with the help of the supervisor.
Store
There is no separate store. The "Verein zur Förderung des Mineralogischen Museums e.V." offers minerals and antiquarian books in two small showcases. The sale takes place for the benefit of the Mineralogical Museum.
Gastronomy
There is no gastronomy. The museum is located in the university district, and there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.
Photography
Photography is allowed in the museum for private, non-commercial purposes.
Parking situation
Unfortunately, the museum does not have its own parking spaces. Limited parking is available in the Grindelhof parking lot.
Public transportation
Only a few meters from the entrance of the museum, at the intersection of Rentzelstraße and Grindelallee, is the bus stop "Grindelhof". Metrobuses No. 4 and 5 stop here.
