As part of the museum's educational program, the museum offers a variety of guided tours focusing on different topics. See the Education & Outreach page for an overview of the tours offered.
The main entrance of the museum can only be accessed via two steps. A side entrance allows barrier-free access, please contact the museum guard! A staircase leads to the gallery of the display collection, unfortunately there is no elevator in the museum. During the opening hours on Wednesday it is possible to reach the second floor of the museum via an elevator of the annex building with the help of the supervisor.
There is no separate store. The "Verein zur Förderung des Mineralogischen Museums e.V." offers minerals and antiquarian books in two small showcases. The sale takes place for the benefit of the Mineralogical Museum.
There is no gastronomy. The museum is located in the university district, and there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the vicinity.
Photography is allowed in the museum for private, non-commercial purposes.
Unfortunately, the museum does not have its own parking spaces. Limited parking is available in the Grindelhof parking lot.
Only a few meters from the entrance of the museum, at the intersection of Rentzelstraße and Grindelallee, is the bus stop "Grindelhof". Metrobuses No. 4 and 5 stop here.
