Special exhibitions and new acquisitions

The gallery of the museum is currently hosting the following exhibitions:

Mineralogy in everyday life
Small special exhibition on the topic "Mineralogy in everyday life" on the gallery of the museum. On display are exhibits on the topics of mineral colors, rare earths, use of minerals in everyday life and "Minecraft.""

Pegmatite minerals of the granites of Strzegom (Striegau), Lower Silesia, Poland.
On display will be exquisite mineral specimens from the Alwin Martens Collection, Hamburg, Germany, which was acquired by the Mineralogisches Museum Hamburg in 1973.

New acquisitions of the museum
On the gallery the museum shows excellent mineral specimens from the collection of Dr. Hans Kautsky, Hamburg. In 2010 and 2011 Dr. Kautsky donated about 600 minerals of his systematics collection to the Mineralogical Museum Hamburg!
