In the Mineralogical Museum you will learn how our earth has changed in the course of the earth's history, how it is structured and what rocks tell us about their history.

Who does not know the Old Swede on the Elbe beach? It is one of many other rocks that can be found not only in Hamburg, but throughout northern Germany. They are rocks that have traveled a long way to reach us. In the Mineralogical Museum you will learn how these rocks have come to us with huge masses of ice and get to know the typical rocks of the Baltic Sea beaches.
