Accessibility
The main entrance to the museum can only be accessed via two steps. A side entrance allows barrier-free access to the ground floor, please contact the museum supervisor! A staircase leads to the gallery of the exhibition, unfortunately there is no lift in the museum.
Museum shop
There is no separate shop. The "Verein zur Förderung des Mineralogischen Museums e.V." offers minerals and antiquarian books in two small display cases. The sale is in favour of the Museum der Natur Hamburg - Mineralogy.
Gastronomy
The museum does not have its own catering facilities. The museum is located in the university quarter. There are numerous cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Food and drink
Food and drink may not be taken into the exhibition or consumed there.

Photography is permitted in the museum for private, non-commercial purposes.
- Carriage of dogs etc.
Animals are not permitted, with the exception of assistance animals.
Car park situation
Unfortunately, the museum does not have its own car park. Limited parking is available in the car park at Grindelhof.
Public transport
The "Grindelhof" bus stop is just a few metres from the entrance to the museum, at the Rentzelstraße/Grindelallee junction. Metro buses no. 4 and 5 stop here.
