Fossils are important tools for palaeontologists to gain an insight into past geological eras. Fossils, plants and animals can be used to draw conclusions about environmental conditions and the lifestyles of long-extinct animals. Ammonites, fossilised plants and, of course, dinosaur skeletons can be viewed in the display collection. This museum talk includes an introduction to palaeontological working methods and some of the most important fossils and fossilisation processes are presented.
Individual topics and focal points can be discussed with the guides.
