Palpigrades, or microwhip scoprions, are an order of arachnids with ca. 80 described species. These animals are extremely delicate (2-3mm), pale and eyeless. Both sexes carry a whip-like flagellum at the tip of the abdomen. Palpigrades are found in leaf litter and cave habitats, primarily in subtropical and tropical regions. The LIB collection comprises two species from Slowenia and Sicily.
