Biodiversity hotspot Iran

In collaboration with Tehran University, we are studying insect diversity in Iran to draw conclusions about diversity hotspots in the region and to make suggestions for protected areas. The data are also used to understand the biogeography of the region. Our studies focus on grasshoppers, but in collaboration with colleagues we also work on other insect groups.
