Speciation in subterranean arachnids
We are investigating patterns of speciation and diversification in a complex subterranean geology of the Pilbara region in Western Australia. The Pilbara is a global hotspot of subterranean biodiversity but this diversity is increasingly threatened my mining and industrial development. Here, we are investigating speciation patterns in a subterranean radiation of short-tailed whipscorpions (Schizomida) in a region that is heavily impacted by mining and industrial development. This project is a collaboration with industry partners.
