Untold Stories – Special! with Liza Röschmann

Flower strips – gardens – monocultures – where do bees actually forage?

The pollen collected by bees reveals which flowers the insects prefer to visit and pollinate in the process. As part of ‘Untold Stories – Special!’, Master’s student Liza Röschmann discusses the diversity of shapes found in pollen grains collected by bees and how they can be identified. This will shed light on whether wild bees and honeybees differ in their pollen-foraging behaviour and whether wildflower strips in agricultural settings serve their purpose.
