NATURE WRITING FESTIVAL

Nature of the future

Flora and fauna in times of climate change

Karsten Reise, Bernhard Kegel
A conversation
Convenor: Reinhard Kahl

Marine researcher and author Karsten Reise, long-time director of the Alfred Wegener Institute in List on the island of Sylt, requested this interview with Bernhard Kegel. The chemist, biologist and author of novels and non-fiction books immediately complied with this request, having listened with great enthusiasm to Reise's explanations about the Wadden Sea from an early age. Both spoke about "The nature of the future" - with different scientific backgrounds and knowledge: What will nature look like in times of climate change? How will flora and fauna change, and what does this mean for humans?
