Cristina Therese Garilao was born in the Philippines in 1974 where she obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology and a masters degree in Information Management. She joined the LIB Biodiversity Informatics section in 2021. Since then, she is helping our curators in Hamburg to digitise their collections and make the information accessible to the public. On the 16th of October she will give us some astonishing insights into her daily work.

Cristina Garilao is also one of the protagonists in our special exhibition "People make museums - collections" until the beginning of December
