Tour upper floor
In 12 showcases you will be informed here about turning points in the development of life over the past 3.5 billion years, such as the first known multicellular organisms from the enigmatic Ediacara fauna and the so-called Cambrian faunal explosion, during which a wide variety of animal phyla developed hard parts in a very short time.
The development of the first land plants is also addressed, as well as the land walk of our own ancestors, the coelacanths. On the upper floor, current research projects of the Department of Paleontology of the LIB, the Institute of Geology of the Cluster of Excellence CLiSAP are further presented.
