Der Schmetterling wurde, wie viele andere Tiere auch, ein Opfer der Habitat-Zerstörung. Vermutlich wurde ihm bei der Rodung seiner Futterpflanzen seine Lebensgrundlage genommen. Ein Pärchen dieser wunderschönen Art ist in unserer Insektensammlung des CeNak zu bewundern.
