Where does the sand bee live and where does the red-tailed bumblebee feel most at home? Why is half of the over 560 wild bee species native to Germany endangered and what are people in Hamburg doing to protect these important pollinators? These questions are central to the wild bee initiative taking place on Sunday, 4 September as of 11 am on the premises of Martin Luther King Platz 3. CeNak, which is partnering with the Die Deutsche Wildtier Stiftung, cordially invites you to attend the event. Read on in English...
Wissenschaftler, Umweltschützer und Museumspädagogen nehmen Erwachsene und Kinder mit auf eine Reise ins Reich der Wildbienen, bauen ein Bienenhotel, zeigen, welche Lebensräume und Blumen Wildbienen mögen und geben Einblicke in die aktuelle Wildbienen- und Ökosystem-Forschung. An diesem Tag wird für Interessierte auch die historische Insekten-Sammlung zugänglich sein, die normalerweise für Besucher geschlossen ist. Außerdem werden das beste Wildbienen-Foto und das schönste Kinder-Gemälde prämiert. Bis zum 20. August können hierfür noch Bilder eingesandt werden.
