Panel discussion on the Day of Biodiversity
With the large-scale nature conservation project "Naturally Hamburg!", the Hanseatic city has set itself ambitious goals: Wild vegetation is to be given more importance in the city. Green spaces in parks are to be enriched with wild flowers to attract bees and insects. Nature reserves allow people to experience nature more and at the same time remain habitats for endangered species. People and nature should benefit in equal measure. But what else is happening in the city on this topic? Where are projects succeeding, where are they encountering obstacles and difficulties? And what can each and every one of us do and contribute? Because this much is certain: the preservation, protection and restoration of biodiversity affects our quality of life. In discussion: Prof Dr Mariella Herberstein (LIB Hamburg), Dr Barbara Engelschall (BUKEA) and Gisela Bertram (BUND). Axel Jahn (Managing Director of the Loki Schmidt Foundation) will host the evening.
